Visit to Howth

My last official blog left off right before the Bank Holiday weekend, when I took advantage of the extra day off for a little trip up to Howth (pronounced HOEth) with one of my fellow classmates, Kellyanne. Howth is just north of Dublin a bit, and is easily reached via DART (the Dublin version of BART for you nor-calers). Howth is a quaint sea-port town, with some absolutely lovely views. However, as it is on the coast, it tends to get a bit windy - and we were definitely a tad cold! And true to Ireland weather, it was pouring when we first got off the train, only to quickly have the weather change, and find us busting out our sunglasses... (see pictures below). After a little walk around the town, we grabbed a bite to eat in a pub (good seafood there for sure), then headed back to Dublin for some more good ol' fashioned study time once again. In the almost three months since I have been here, this is the only trip outside of Dublin (with the exception of the family visit to Skeheenarinky at the start) to date!
